The IKEA Assembly: Cass + Alexa (@twofemmegems)

Cass and Alexa have been sharing their lives as a married lesbian couple living in the suburbs online since they first met in 2018. They share the magic of the everyday mundane and aim to teach first time homebuyers how to home. While Alexa shares tips on cooking, gardening, and making a healthy home, Cass shares expertise in DIY projects, queer fashion, and bold design. Together they make up @twofemmegems!

What does home mean to you?

“As relatively new homeowners, we’ve learned a lot. We've learned how to maintain it, work together as a team and use each of our strengths to divide and conquer caring for it. The home we've created is a magic space for us where we feel we can truly create and dream together. In our home we have complete creative control and challenge ourselves to make each room a special place reflective of our unique personalities.”

What describes your personal style at home?

"We love blending the old with the new, and particularly enjoy finding vintage wood pieces and giving them a modern makeover. We aren't afraid to be bold and playful with colors and prints, but our overall palette tends to be modern and elegant.”
