MAJGULL block-out curtains have a buttery softness and intense dark blue sheen that bring a regal look to the room. The pleats fall beautifully and the fabric blocks-out all light, awarding total privacy.

Block-out curtains blocks light from shining through and completely darkens your room.

Effective at keeping out both draughts in the winter and heat in the summer.

Curtains with heading tape allow you to hang the curtain directly on the curtain rod using the rod pocket or tabs. You can also hinge the curtain onto a track rail using gliders and hooks.

Using gliders and hooks usually creates a more formal and dressed-up feel, where hardware is not visible.

    The curtains are sold in pairs. The sizes stated refer to each single curtain. For the total width, double the width of a single curtain.

    Since the fabric will shrink when washing it is a good idea to wash the curtains prior to cutting/hemming.

    You can use SY iron-on hemming strip to shorten the curtains without sewing.

    A darker environment stimulates production of the body's natural sleep hormone, melatonin. The hormone helps to regulate the body's sleep-wake cycle and can encourage better sleep.

    16 gliders and hooks are usually recommended for each curtain with a width of 145 cm. You can increase or decrease the number depending on whether you want narrower or fuller folds in the pleats.

Material

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
