SVÄMSKOG Self-watering insert, terracotta/transparent, 25 cl
When this self-watering insert is placed into the soil of any plant pot, the water will penetrate the soil through the terracotta insert.
The terracotta insert makes the water penetrate more slowly than other solutions, so the water will last for longer.
The water container can also be replaced by a 1 litre PET bottle to allow for more water volume when you’re away on vacation.
The water container is made from semi-transparent plastic so you can see the water level and add water when needed.

Nice idea poorly executed.YeoThe assembly isn't difficult but one of the terracotta pieces did not fit as well, so water seeps through the gap. When I tried to re-fit it, the terracotta piece broke. For the price, it's truly a disappointment. The large 70ml funnel practically takes the space of my whole large pot. Truly worked different from the way I had it in my head. Great novel idea and design, but works unconvincingly. Above all, my chief gripe is this. . . WHY DOES IKEA KEEP MAKING LIDS THAT DON'T FIT SNUGLY? A slight touch and the lid flies off. WTH?

Perfect for plant murderersWilsonRepeat buy for me. It is simple, easy to use and a cover that prevents mosquito breeding. It release water based on what the plant need rather than over watering.
Wish there is another size smaller for very small potted plants. Or design it as a cylinder rather than a cone to save more space.

UselessLimIt can’t even hold water, did not function as it is supposed to. Water just flowed once this is placed into the pot.
Self-Watering containerWendyLove this design as it can be added water easily with transparency of the top which is great. Wish it comes in a narrow and tall container instead of broad. As some plants or pots don’t have the space to hold the container holding water size. Great to come in smaller version for smaller pots. Looking forward to this new/uograded version.
