Not 304 stainless steelChayWhile they say it is stainless steel, if you are expecting it to be 304, this isn't. It is magnetic. I laid some salmon sashimi on top of the grid and used it to sprinkle some salt over the salmon for a simple 30 min cure. Subsequently, I threw that into the dishwasher for a few hours pending the nightly wash cycle. After the washing was completed, there were rust spots the next day. They should have been more transparent to state what kind of stainless steel. Had I have known it isn't 304, I would have changed how I use the product, perhaps even changing my buying decision. You have been warned, I suspect all stainless steel products from Ikea are rarely 304.
