A maths tuition centre with the right design equation
Learning maths might seem difficult and feel dreadful at times. This tuition centre, specialising in mathematics, wanted to transform the typical, conventional image of tuition centres into an inspiring, comfortable place for learning.
With the help of designers from the IKEA for Business team, the centre turned out to be a conducive space for learning that appeals to young students.
Add ergonomics into the equation
Don’t forget to create comfort for the teachers too. MARKUS chair gives extra back support and relief from the built-in lumbar support. The safety castors have a pressure-sensitive brake mechanism that keeps the chair in place when you stand up, and releases automatically when you sit down, perfect for teachers’ movements throughout the day.
Take a break
Build a small pantry for quick refreshments and storage of snacks for students. Our METOD kitchen cabinet solution and RÅVAROR/LIDÅS tables and chairs combine well together to create a cosy corner.
Divide the space
Place KALLAX shelving units by the shop window to display your merchandise and books so it can be seen from both inside and outside of your tuition centre. It also acts as a screen for some privacy.
IKEA has truly transformed our learning space into a unique and inviting environment. With a focus on creating a homely and approachable atmosphere, our centre has successfully captured the attention and likes of both parents and students.”
