Four easy ways to maintain IKEA's Christmas table lamps
- Simply dust them regularly with a soft cloth. If the lampshade is removable, check the product information page on how you can clean your lampshade.
- Dust your table lamp to maintain its brightness. Use a soft, dry cloth or a duster, avoiding water or cleaning solutions, especially on electrical components.
- Adhere to our product guidelines when replacing bulbs. Ensure you use the correct type and wattage to prevent overheating or damage. LED bulbs are often recommended for their longevity and energy efficiency.
- If your table lamp is wired, periodically inspect the electrical cord and socket for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice anything unusual, such as fraying wires or a loose socket, it's best to have it replaced or repaired.
- IKEA lamps are also known for their good quality and durability. They are made from a variety of materials (and some are sustainable), including metal, glass, plastic, bamboo and fabric.
All IKEA table lamps are subjected to rigorous testing and bear the CE mark, to ensure high safety, health and environmental standards for optimal performance.
How to troubleshoot IKEA LED Christmas string lights
If your Christmas string lights are not working properly, you can:
- Check how long you have used the string lights: if it’s been used for more than 6 hours, you likely need to change the batteries.
- Ensure you do not mix old and new batteries, different brands or types. We recommend LADDA rechargable batteries for sustainable use.
- Inspect the light strand for any visible damage or frayed wires.
