Guarantee

We’ve created comprehensive IKEA guarantees for many of our products and have gathered them all here. Because, while we believe in the quality and durability of our products, IKEA would like to provide you with some additional assurance. Our guarantees can change over time and are always determined by the date of order or purchase. The terms and conditions begin applying on the day you receive your product – whether you take it home yourself, or it’s delivered to you –so always keep a record of your purchase​​ You can keep track of your purchase history here.

Kitchen guarantee

  • For FAKTUM kitchen systems (purchased after 2007-08-01) and METOD kitchen systems, we offer a 25-year guarantee covering defects in materials and workmanship. FAKTUM kitchen systems purchased before 2007-08-01 had a 10-year guarantee.
  • For ENHET kitchen systems, we offer a 10-year guarantee covering defects in materials and workmanship.
  • ​​All IKEA kitchen mixer taps come with a 10-year guarantee.
  • IKEA appliances come with a 5-year warranty. This does not apply to LAGAN and TILLREDA.
  • Business customers receive a 5-year warranty on appliances if the product is used in a domestic environment (e.g., rental apartment). This does not apply to LAGAN and TILLREDA.
  • KNOXHULT kitchen system, SUNNERSTA mini kitchen, FYNDIG sink, knobs and handles are not covered by any guarantee.
  • The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase. This guarantee applies to domestic kitchen use only. 
  • All wall tiles and worktops have a 25-year guarantee. 

Bathroom guarantee 

  • The 10-year IKEA bathroom guarantee covers material and manufacturing defects in the bathroom series ENHET, HAVBÄCK, ÄNGSJÖN, TÄNNFORSEN, HAGAÅN, FAXÄLVEN, and LETTAN, the countertops TOLKEN and ÄLSKEN, ALMAÅN legs, as well as all our washbasins, washbasin mixers, and thermostatic mixers for bath/shower.  
  • The guarantee does not apply to products that have been stored, assembled or installed incorrectly, used inappropriately or incorrectly, altered or cleaned with an incorrect cleaning method or product.
  • We offer you a 3-year warranty on the ÅBÄCKEN steam nozzle for mixers and all shower accessories, such as handheld shower holders, handheld showers, shower hoses, and overhead/handheld showers with diverter.
  • The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase. This guarantee applies to domestic kitchen use only.

Bedroom guarantee 

  • At IKEA we're proud of our 10-year mattress guarantee (and our 90-day Sleep on it Mattress exchange), which covers mattresses and bed bases labeled with our logo against defects in materials and workmanship. Sprung bases, sprung mattresses and foam mattresses are covered under guarantee.
  • We also offer a 10-year guarantee on PAX/KOMPLEMENT wardrobes and SKYTTA sliding doors marked with our logo, against defects in materials and workmanship.​ 
  • The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase. This guarantee applies to domestic kitchen use only. 

Sofa and armchair guarantee

  • Our sofas are rigorously tested to comply with our strict standards for quality and durability as well as with the highest standards for domestic use. This means that we can offer you a 10-year guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship that covers frames and cushions of our sofas.
  • For our IKEA STOCKHOLM sofa, this involves a 25-year guarantee.
  • The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase. This guarantee does not apply if the product has been placed outdoors or in a humid environment.

Workplace and office furniture ​guarantee

  • We’re offer you a 10-year guarantee against defects in materials, workmanship and function on all main parts in the BEKANT series, IDÅSEN series, GALANT storage system, THYGE desk and HÄLLAN cabinets. ​ 
  • We also offer a 10-year guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship in the moving parts and frame of the following IKEA office chairs: VOLMAR, MARKUS, LÅNGFJÄLL, HATTEFJÄLL, ALEFJÄLL, JÄRVSFJÄLLET, FLINTAN and FJÄLLBERGET.
  • The guarantees on some of these IKEA office essentials also apply to use in commercial settings.
  • The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase. This guarantee does not apply if the products have been placed outdoors, in prolonged direct sunlight or in a humid environment e.g. bathroom.

Flooring guarantee

  • We offer a 10-15 year guarantee on our skirting boards. We guarantee that in normal use the flooring will not wear through, fade from sunlight, or stain permanently.
  • We offer you a 10-year guarantee for TUNDRA and PRÄRIE laminate flooring. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase.
  • The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase. 

Gaming table guarantee

  • This 3-year guarantee is for home use only and covers defects in materials and workmanship in the UPPSPEL, UTESPELARE and FREDDE gaming tables.
  • The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase. This guarantee applies to domestic kitchen use only.  

Guarantee for main parts of the BROR storage system

  • We offer you a 10-year guarantee on the main parts of the BROR storage system. See the parts that are not covered by the guarantee in the guarantee brochure.
  • The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase.

Media guarantee

  • We offer you a 5-year guarantee for UPPLEVA. The guarantee covers the TV, sound system, remote control and 3D glasses.
  • The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase. This guarantee applies to domestic kitchen use only.
