What is the difference between an IKEA gift card and a credit voucher?

You can buy a gift card, while a credit voucher is given by us at IKEA as an alternative to a refund, for example in the case of a return without a receipt. Coupons and discount codes are sometimes distributed in connection with our campaigns or activities and are then subject to special terms and conditions.

  • A gift card can be purchased either in an IKEA store, online at IKEA.se or via our partner GoGift. It can be used as a payment method for purchases in an IKEA store or online at IKEA.se.
  • A credit card is given by us at IKEA as an alternative to a refund, for example in the case of a return without a receipt.
  • A coupon or discount code cannot be purchased but is provided by IKEA during promotions or activities. The use and validity of a coupon or discount code are described in the terms and conditions of that particular promotion or activity.
Although gift cards and credit cards have different names, you use them in the same way when you shop with us, and their terms are largely the same.

If you are an IKEA Family member, you can see our current offers and promotions on IKEA.se or through emails and similar notifications, depending on the choices you have made on your IKEA Family profile.
