I want to sell my used IKEA products, how do I do it?

Give your used IKEA products a longer life. Take a look at our second-hand marketplace or get a valuation on IKEA.se. It’s easy, sustainable, and smart for both your wallet and the planet. To sell a product back to IKEA, you need to bring the product to a store, where it will be assessed and you will receive a final price.

  1. Calculate your product’s value
Decide which products you want to sell back. Check which products we can repurchase by reviewing the list of approved items. For each price proposal you receive, you can sell back up to 10 products.
Then use the quotation to see what your product is valued at. We increase the value by 15% if you are (or become) an IKEA Family member.

  1. Get your valuation
Start by valuing your product online in our Buyback & Resell estimator tool. After that, your valuation together with an order number will be sent to the specified email address. Your valuation is valid for 30 days.
  1. Return the products to IKEA
Bring your products (fully assembled) together with your order number to your nearest IKEA store. The repurchase of used furniture is a service that IKEA offers all customers at all stores in Sweden.
  1. Assessment and final offer
In the store’s customer service area, the condition of the products will be inspected and you will receive a final price. Products that qualify must be:
  • In good, sellable condition
  • Complete and fully functional
  • Correctly assembled when handed in
  • Clean and not modified
  • With original IKEA markings
A co-worker at the store will make the final assessment of your used IKEA products. The final amount may therefore differ from the one you received after completing the online valuation.
Please note that we cannot approve a repurchase until the products have been confirmed as IKEA products and their condition for resale has been verified by an IKEA co-worker. The amount offered by the IKEA co-worker is non-negotiable, and we reserve the right to decline products at our discretion.
If we are unable to accept your used IKEA products, we offer you the option to let us recycle them for you.
  1. Receive your IKEA store credit
You will receive an IKEA store credit with the amount your products have been approved for, to use on something you need or like, either online or in the store. You can use your store credit for an unlimited time from the date of issue, but it cannot be used in our Bistro, restaurants, or the Swedish Food Market.
  1. Give your products a new life
All products in good condition will be resold in the store’s As-Is Store.
