Can I return a product by post?

If you are unable to return your product at an IKEA store, you can return smaller products by sending it with a parcel instead. Keep in mind that you can't return your products to our partner pick-up points.

Create a return by post:

If you can't make it to one of our stores, you can always return your products by post by simply filling out our online form. Here's how to do it:
  1. Open the online form on IKEA.se.
  2. Enter your receipt or order number.
  3. Fill in the eight-digit article number of the product(s) you want to return.
  4. State why you want to return the product(s).
  5. Enter your zip code to see possible return options.
  6. Fill in your details and choose whether you want the confirmation sent to you via e-mail or text message.
  7. In the email/text there is a QR code that you show to the agent when you are returning your package. The agent prints a label and then sticks the label on the package.

Keep in mind:

  • You bear responsibility for the return until we have received and registered it, so always keep your delivery receipt and pack the item safely.
  • To be able to send your product by post, the parcel package must be a maximum of 150 x 60 x 60 cm and weigh a maximum of 20 kg.
  • The return cost for a parcel package is 49 SEK, if the return is not covered by the The Act on Distance Contracts.
  • You can't submit your return to our partner pick-up points, such as Bring or JetPak.
Pick-up points are a delivery option offered by IKEA, our partners are not able to handle returns.
