What distance should I have between my hob and fan?
The distance between the hob and the fan is important to ensure that moisture and cooking fumes are extracted effectively. You can find information about the safety distance for your product in the product instructions.
Freestanding fan:
- Gas hob: minimum 650 mm
- Electric hob: minimum 500 mm
Built-in fan:
- Gas hob: minimum 650 mm
- Electric hob: minimum 500 mm
These safety distances are specified in accordance with the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning's building regulations.
