How do I pair the TRÅDFRI driver with the remote control?

Follow our simple step-by-step guide to quickly get started with your TRÅDFRI driver and remote.

To pair your TRÅDFRI driver with the remote control, do the following:

  1. Start by plugging the TRÅDFRI driver into a power outlet using the FÖRNIMMA connection cable.
  2. Then insert the integrated light source into the driver – The light should now start to light up.
  3. Now take the remote control and first remove the magnetic plate on the back and then open the lid on the back to find the small switch button
  4. Hold the remote control close to the driver – no more than 5 centimeters off - and press the switch button. Keep it pressed for at least 10 seconds.

While you are holding the button, the light will flash – this means that the pairing is in progress. When the light stops flashing and turns solid, the pairing is complete. Then you can release the button and start using the remote control to control the light.
