Do I need a remote control to control my smart home?
With the DIRIGERA hub, you can control your home and add new smart products without a remote control by using the IKEA Home Smart app.
Our home can quickly be filled with multiple remote controls, where all remote controls control separate things. Here are our smart products where you traditionally buy a remote control along with it:
- KAJPLATS light source
- TRÅDFRI driver
- STARKVIND air purifier
- TREDANSEN/PRAKTLYSNING pleated curtain
- TRETAKT plug
All these products that actually require a remote control or that are controlled via buttons on the product can be controlled directly from the IKEA Home Smart app using the DIRIGERA hub.
You can of course buy a remote control for your smart home if you want the control to be more easily accessible, especially for guests and others who visit your home. The remote will work even if your internet connection is down - or if you've forgotten where you have your phone.
