VARDAGEN Frying pan, carbon steel, 28 cm
When seasoned properly, the carbon steel pan develops a dark non-stick surface, making it great for cooking tasty food without sticking. And it only gets better the more the pan is used.
Works well on all types of cooktops, including induction.
Can also be used in the oven since it is made entirely of metal.
Made from carbon steel, which spreads heat evenly, keeps the pan warm for a long time, and gives food an even browning.

Probably the best carbon steel pan at this price (here in the PH)SherwinGreat upgrade to my Beka carbon steel fry pan which cost higher than this. Now giving the Beka away. To the other reviewers complaining about rust: THIS IS A CARBON STEEL PAN. IT WILL RUST WITHOUT PREVENTIVE CARE. Using it builds the necessary seasoning on the cooking surface, which helps prevent rust. Otherwise, it will need to be oiled (very lightly, just a thin layer) to prevent rusting while in storage. I don't recommend washing with soap after every use. Just warm water and a mild brush to the surface. Running water to finish off, then dry with a towel before storage. If you soap it, oil it before storage.
Noticeably more even surface heat likely due to the thickness. It's not in the specs but I think it's 2. 5mm thick. It is heavy but that is normal for carbon steel pans. All in all a great pan for its price!
Carbon steel panEnricoit’s heavy and i like it. it takes in seasoning well- let’s see how long it can hold.
NOT recommendedKristineI followed the seasoning instructions from the IKEA manual, but I still don’t enjoy using this product. After washing, it always develops rust—I’m not sure if it’s due to our water or storage area, but it’s the only cookware that does this. Also, when used on max heat on an induction stove, it burns easily. This product is just weird and disappointing overall.
