excellent condimentArthuri experienced this at the commisary on the salmon and loved the taste and mouthfeel. so i was glad to see it at the checkout counter of the bakery section along with the long thin hotdogs from the freezer section. better than plain ketchup and mustard. still, it's a little pricey for the small amount in the bottle.

Marinated salmon has a long history in Sweden. As early as the 1600´s, salmon was put in a hole in the ground and then covered, slowly fermenting for a very typical taste. Nowadays, however, it is marinated in a salt, sugar and dill solution for a couple of days. It is often eaten with SÅS SENAP & DILL (sauce for salmon), a sweet and savory mustard sauce. SÅS SENAP & DILL can also be served with other dishes such as crab, shrimp, marinated meat, ham, or as a salad dressing.
