“The idea with TAGGTOFS was to create a big yet lightweight lampshade that can be transported in a flat package. I’m often inspired by everyday objects, and with the contrasts of heavy and lightweight in mind, I started with fruit shapes and umbrella structures. I finally settled on the traditional Japanese rice paper lamp. By adding softly shaped bamboo slats, I created the illusion that the shade’s inner part floats freely. I hope you like what you see – and the low price."
