Care
Wipe clean with a cloth dampened in a mild cleaner.

For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

Disappointing Durability After Limited UseGiridhar I purchased this IKEA table expecting a solid and reliable piece of furniture, But as the time goes by, I've noticed cracks forming and the paint starting to wear off along the edges.
Quality is worst. Paper foil is in between the mdf like boards. Didn't think of such bad construction of the MALM Desk. PasamBad quality

Material of construction is very BADHariI have bought the desk in June 2021 for Work for home after lot of research, look and cost wide MALM desks are good but after receipt of order ,I have realized that material of construction is recycled compressed paper and it cant take any force. Small dent was observed after unboxing ,which may be caused during transportation. Go for it ,if you like the look but if you want durable material, then don't buy it.

What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
