The tabletop has pre-drilled holes to make it easier to attach to the underframe.

Board-on-frame is a strong and lightweight material with a frame in wood, particleboard or fibreboard and a recycled paper filling. It requires less raw materials and is easy to transport, which reduces the environmental impact.

Good to know

This tabletop is suitable to use with legs from our Build Your Own Desk range. It's not suitable to use with underframes from our office range (like MITTZON, TROTTEN or IDÅSEN).

Care

Wipe clean with a cloth dampened in a mild cleaner.

Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

Safety and compliance

This table has been developed and tested for home use and is not suitable for installation of a screen stand. Maximum evenly distributed weight is 50 kg. Do not place concentrated weight exceeding 15 kg on a small surface on the table.This table has been developed for home use and meets the requirements for durability and stability set forth in the following standards: EN 12521 and EN 1730.

The finishing on the surface of the tabletop is horrible, to say the least. I scratched my hand using it. Can't use a mouse as the surface is so rough and grainy. And when I contacted customer care, this is their response " This product is designed in such a way that the rough surface helps holding the articles better and it is part of its design." Great product IKEA! (slow clap) First, you make a bad product, and to top it you defend it with such lousy statements. I am not going to order again from IKEA1

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
