We didn't find it artificial looking at all. Our living room has a warm, earthy theme and a few other (real and artificial) plants too. This Ikea one compliments the rest of the plants wonderfully! Really happy with the purchase! The only thing I would suggest folks is to buy a planter (not necessarily from Ikea) to place this plant in. It elevates the look completely.
