What to do if I lost something in IKEA?
If you lose something at IKEA, visit the lost and found department in-store or call customer care for updates.
- Internal Check: IKEA will check internally if the non-IKEA article is found under the lost and found category.
- Claiming the Article: If found, the customer needs to visit the store to claim/collect the article.
- Discarding Unclaimed Articles:
- Non-IKEA articles and Government identity proofs are discarded after 7 days, if not claimed.
- Cards are discarded after 48 hours.
- Food items are discarded the same day.
- Internal Check: IKEA will check internally if the article is found under the lost and found category.
- Claiming the Article: If found, the customer needs to visit the store to claim the article.
- Further Investigation: If not found, customer support will create a ticket to check CCTV footage.
- Valid Claim: If the claim is valid, the customer needs to visit the store to collect the article.
- If not claimed, we will hold on to any found items for up to 7 days.
