How do I fix my BEKANT sit/stand desk?
If your BEKANT sit/stand desk is only moving in one direction, only one side is moving, or it’s not moving at all, performing a reset can resolve the issue.
Desk not moving:
Unplug the desk from the wall socket for roughly one minute and reconnect. If the desk is stuck in an absolute top or bottom position, proceed to reset the desk below. Otherwise, ensur all cables are connected and follow the install instructions.
Only one column of the desk moving:
If only one column is moving, do a reset. If this persists after resetting, change the column that is moving.
Two columns moving at different speeds:
If it is possible to move the slower column by pulling it up or pushing it down, change the column that is moving slower than the other. If it is not possible to do this, change the column that is moving faster than the other.
Desk only moving short distances:
If the desk is overloaded, please unload the desk. Check that the key is inserted correctly in the handset. If the issue persists, you may need to change the power supply.
Desk stops and reverses during operation:
Check if there is anything blocking the table movement and remove any objects in the way. If the issue persists, you may need to change your underframe.
For the following reasons, please proceed to do a reset and try again:
- Not able to drive all the way up or all the way down;
- Only able to drive down;
- Only able to drive up; and
- Desktop not horizontal.
Before doing a reset, make sure that:
- All cables are connected
- Nothing is blocking the table movement
- The desk is not overloaded
- The key is correctly inserted in the handset
Instructions to do a reset:
- Start by pressing the holding both up and down buttons for 10 seconds. This will cause for the desk to only be able to drive down in reduced speed.
- Both columns should be moving downwards now. Drive the desk all the way to the bottom position.
- Check that it is able to drive up again. If so, your desk has been reset.
