What does the error code shown in the heat mode display on my induction hob mean?

To find out what the error code on your hob means, you can check the product's user manual. You can also enlarge this answer to see the most common error codes and what the solution to them is.

Symbol "E" 
Cause: The product has an internal electrical fault or power supply problem.
Solution: Check the fuses in the fuse box in the apartment and turn off the power to the product for 30 minutes. There are usually two fuses for the hob. Often half of the hob works, and it is then good to use. Contact IKEA Customer Service if the fault is not rectified.

Symbol "ER03/E3" 
Cause: There is liquid, dirt or a cookware on the control panel.
Solution: Wipe the control panel clean and make sure it is dry before reactivating the product.

Symbol "E4/ER21"
Cause: The cooking zone overheating protection has been activated.
Solution: Turn off the product and remove the hot cookware. After a few minutes, switch the cooking zone back on.

Symbol "F47/E47"
Cause: The product has an internal electrical fault or a problem with the power supply.
Solution: Check the fuses in the fuse box in the apartment and turn off the power to the product for 30 minutes. There are usually two fuses for the hob. Contact IKEA Customer Service if the fault is not rectified.

Symbol "F"
Cause: The cookware is too small for the cooking zone or is not suitable for induction.
Solution: The cookware needs to cover a large part of the cooking zone in order to work. Try a different cookware. Check that the vessel is magnetic.

Symbol "F01"
Cause: The product has an internal electrical fault or a problem with the power supply.
Solution: Check the fuses in the fuse box in the apartment and turn off the power to the product for 30 minutes. There are usually two fuses for the hob. Contact IKEA Customer Service if the fault is not rectified.

Symbol "F08"
Cause: The product has an internal electrical fault or a problem with the power supply.
Solution: Check the fuses in the fuse box in the apartment and turn off the power to the product for 30 minutes. There are usually two fuses for the hob. Contact IKEA Customer Service if the fault is not rectified.

Symbol "F12"
Cause: The product has an internal electrical fault or a problem with the power supply.
Solution: Check the fuses in the fuse box in the apartment and turn off the power to the product for 30 minutes. There are usually two fuses for the hob. Contact IKEA Customer Service if the fault is not rectified.
