Why we sell second–hand furniture
We all need to consider how the choices we make impact the planet. When improving our homes, we can ask ourselves if furniture we don’t need could be given a second life. Our Buy back and resell service is one way we’re making it more affordable to live more sustainably.

Working hard to become a circular business by 2030
One key part in achieving this goal is to create and offer products that are designed to be repurposed, repaired, reused, resold, or – as the last resort – recycled, generating as little waste as possible.

32 million products were resold in our circular hubs and 10 million were repacked and sold in other areas.
The IKEA Buyback and resell service
With our Buyback and resell service it’s never been easier to pass on your pre-loved items for a second life.
Simply get a quote on your old IKEA furniture then bring it to your nearest IKEA store where one of our co-workers will check its condition and confirm the final valuation, which can be as high as 50% of the original value. In return, you get an IKEA refund card to spend on something you need or love.
We’ve transformed Bargain Corners to circular hubs in all our stores. Our circular hub products come from all walks of life, you will find everything from ex-display products, discontinued furniture through to preloved items from our Buyback service.
The circular hub, online and instore have a special selection of products ready for a brand-new life.
