Same crack!Anonymous reviewerLeft bowl cracked after a couple of years, ikea wouldn’t replace under warranty. Just sent a dismissive email claiming that it couldn’t be a manufacturing fault (which it clearly is). Shame as the rest of the kitchen remains good 10 years on.1
Cracked!!!Anonymous reviewerOur sink developed a crack after 18 months. No damage or impact was caused, so I contacted Ikea for a replacement as this sink is supposed to have a 10 yr guarantee. However, Ikea refused to replace the sink and refused to believe that the sink had not been damaged by us. I am very disappointed with Ikea and their customer services, who have made us jump through hoops for 5 months requesting photos from every angle etc, only to refuse to help at all. I will definitely think twice about buying Ikea products in future and definitely won't trust their guarantee!1
Cracked !!Anonymous reviewerAbsolutely gutted. Had this fitted under a year and crack appeared in right hand bowl. Nothing has damaged this as we have a dishwasher for washing items so sink just used for cleaning veg etc. seems to be a massive design fault as have just read all previous reviews. I didn’t think a one’s product would be not only so poor but continue to be on sale after so many have had the same problem.
If someone from Ijea coukd look into this I’d appreciate it. It has from memory a long guarantee so expect thus to be sorted but now don’t know what to do as new kitchen fitted around this so size and shape replacement??!1
Cracked bowlAnonymous reviewerHad the previous Ikea double ceramic apron front sink in out old kitchen and loved it. Anticipated this would be the same but main issue is a cracked developed in the right bowl within the first year after fitting (2022) and it has been getting increasingly bigger. From other reviews it sounds like a possible manufacturing fault making it prone to this happening.2
Cracked after 1 year.Anonymous reviewerI’m really disappointed with this sink. It developed a large crack after 1 year of use. No damage was caused, in fact it happened while we were away on holiday. We arrived back to a cracked sink. It is also hard to clean and looks dirty very quickly. It was a bad choice.1
We have had 2 sinks crackAnonymous reviewerSadler we have had 2 sinks developed cracks the same as lots of other reviews. IKEA seam to think it’s us damaging them. I don’t think do. Why are ikea shirking their responsibility over this matter 1
2nd sink cracked Anonymous reviewerOur first sink cracked before the fitter’s had finished the kitchen IKEA said it must had been up damaging it ! Now the 2 nd one has cracked only 3 months in to the replacement. Guys what ikea said it must be us damaging it. There is clearly a problem with this sink looking at all the reviews. But ikea don’t want to take responsibility. That makes them an irresponsible company. Sham on you1
Another CRACK in the IKEA wallAnonymous reviewerThis is our second faulty cracked sink in a year - we are a couple in our 60's we do not abuse our sink. After spending a great deal on our kitchen. Ikea have been unhelpful and we suggest you avoid this sink - Ikea have refused to change!1
Disappointed Anonymous reviewerI bought this sink 2 years ago. I recently noticed a large crack appearing which resulted in small leaks below. I assumed it would be covered by the Ikea kitchen guarantee and contacted customer service regarding getting a replacement on the guarantee. They looked at the photos and got back to me to say it wasn’t covered as this was my fault for dropping something on it. Very disappointed! Also I can’t purchase a replacement as they are currently out of stock. 1
Looks great but poor quality Anonymous reviewerSink is about 4 years old. Hairline crack has appeared in one of the bowls causing a significant leak into the draws below. No impact has caused this and judging by other reviews, this is a common problem. Not happy. 1
False warrantyAnonymous reviewerAdvertised IKEA Kitchen warranty periods are fraudulent, and their products are not fit for purpose. The sink broke on its own, and several reviews on their product page note the same issue. There is a clear fault in the manufacturing of the product but according to IKEA, any damage is accidental and therefore not covered by their warranties. This is causing considerable additional costs in refitting and finding another solution. Do not consider IKEA Kitchens - it will cost you a lot more money in the long run!1
Awaiting kitchen fitting Anonymous reviewerNot installed as yet but looks an excellent piece of kit4
Cracked just like everyone elseAnonymous reviewerBought and installed in 2019. Large hairline crack appeared last year. I have been incredibly careful with the sink. The rest of my kitchen is from Ikea and is in great condition. I was told by customer service that I am now out of warranty though others have commented that the guarantee is 25 years? Really disappointing, I would not recommend buying this sink as the cost to replace it as part of a fitted kitchen are high. I am also stuck with having to replace it with the exact size as this one so basically I would need to put in the same one again!1
Cracked and difficult to cleanAnonymous reviewerI can't believe this has cracked - we are very careful with putting things in our sink and hardly ever use it to wash up - it's been in for about 18months and we noticed it a month ago and its getting bigger. The sink looks beautiful but it is a pain to clean. When we replace it, we wont go for this sink again. Very disappointed.2
Havsen double sink Anonymous reviewerI noticed small hairline cracks in both sinks about 8 years ago (think the sink is about 14 years old) but now the right hand sink looks as though the enamel covering has worn off, as round the plug there is a dark grey ring and the rest of the sink is completely crazed and looks awful. It was an expensive purchase, maybe I should have bought a boring stainless steel one! It looked so good when it was new.1
Nice Belfast Double Sink.Anonymous reviewerThe product is of high quality. Comes complete with all couplings for installation. The price was very very good. Collected from a Super store FOC and the service at the collection point very professional and quick.5
Sadly cracked like most other reviews…Anonymous reviewerUnfortunately I bought this sink in summer 2019 having always liked the Belfast style sink, but getting the rest of my kitchen from IKEA this one made sense and looked lovely.
Sadly with no impact the left basin cracked, initially was a hairline crack but is now becoming thicker.
It looks like most people have this issue, which is surprising when the guarantee is 25 years you expect the sinks to last at least 25 years! 1
AwfulAnonymous reviewerI wrote a review regarding this sink and the crack that had appeared on the 8th of August. Ikea immediately responded wanting to sort the issue. Have they sorted the issue? No. I have sent all evidence requested and although I have had many promises of call backs I have had none. Don’t buy this sink you will be disappointed and it will cost a fortune to replace as you will need a new worktop for any other sink to take its place. 1
CrackedAnonymous reviewerSo disappointed, I had the original ikea double butler sink which was fantastic, I had it for years. Forward to April of this year and a new kitchen being fitted. I tried to remove the old sink and unfortunately I smashed it so had to replace with this sink for the new kitchen. The sink looks lovely but I have had a crack appear in the right hand bowl. It has only been installed just over 3 months. So disappointing and costly to now have to remove and replace. Not the ikea quality I would expect.1
Cracked already - buyer bewareAnonymous reviewerBought this sink a couple of months ago, had it fitted not even a week ago and noticed there’s a hairline crack in one of the bowls. Absolutely gutted! Can’t afford a new one and paid for new worktops to be fitted as well so if I have to replace it who knows. Quality has gone massively down and I’ve spent all savings on this. Don’t buy it!!!1
