Extremely DisappointingAnonymous reviewerWe're renovating a cottage that had a Havsen 2 bowl sink fitted. We liked the look of it, and despite reading some negative reviews we decided to still purchase a new one to fit in to our new kitchen installation. Sometimes as renovations go we had the sink 6 months prior to it being fitted. The first time I have used it to wash a couple of cups, after emptying the water out and drying it. I noticed it had chipped in the base. Thus taking the shine off, one the sink and two the newness of the kitchen. It also concerns me about bacterial build up and contamination and if continued use will exacerbate the chip further.
In my opinion the glaze on the sink is not fit for purpose, hence the title of my review. As the sink itself is nice and looks lovely.
Not made to lastAnonymous reviewerUnfortunately I have experienced the same problem. A large hairline crack has appeared in one side of the sink. I have had it for 5 years and is now out of warranty. I expected it to last longer. The rest of my Ikea kitchen has worn well. I have taken great care of it so disappointing that this has happened.
Very disappointed. Anonymous reviewerI have the older version of this sink in my old kitchen and was sooo happy with it so bought this for the house we are refurbishing. However the instructions for insulation gave the measurements to cut out of the worktop and when we went to put the sink in place the it turns out the sink is smaller than it should be. Please don't go by the measurements given and take your measurements from the sink it's self. We now need to order a new worktop and pay £40 to get this delivered. Very disappointed
