The chair cover is made from Vissle fabric in polyester, which is dope-dyed. It’s a durable material with a smooth weave and a nice two-tone effect.

Not ergonomic at allAnonymous reviewerI bought this a few years ago. After about 1 years of usage, I had to get a new one since I had such sever lower back pain. Chair lumber support is not adjustable at all. I wish I knew that I could have returned it after assembly.

Uncomfortable and stiffAnonymous reviewerThe arm rests are absolutely horrible. I should have known better to have bought a chair without adjustable arm rests. They're too low and even when you lower your arms to rest on them naaturally they're deeply uncomfortable.
The cushioning for the chair is pretty meh as well. Sitting on it after a while gets uncomfortable.
The back of the chair is too stiff and awkward. I feel the lumbar support design is incorrect. It's too low making it uncomfortable on my back and hard to actually sit in a correct posture without over-adjusting and making myself even more uncomfortable.

Lumbar support cannot be adjusted in height or depth.
Oversized height non-adjustable armrests.
Creaky, rocky and next to no padding you can feel hard wood underneath.
Just posting as warning to all. You'll end up removing armrest and then looking for ways to remove the so called lumber support that will wreck your back.
Dining chair, or just a chair but remove the "office" chair part of it.
Ergonomic means:

There are £150 office chairs on Amazon that are more ergonomic like Protoarc EC200
Go Herman Miller, Steelcase etc drop a grand on those chairs and it's lifetime. You won't regret it.

The curve at the bottom really hugs your lower back. And the high back makes it supportive for your upper back and head too. The seat is still comfortable and I haven't needed to add a cushion after 2 years. The angle of the back is adjustable as well as the height. I would 100% recommend this chair.

Good Chair, Horrible WheelsAnonymous reviewerA few friends have this chair and looking to replace a bulky "ergonmic" chair that seems to give me more back pain than it should try and solve, I decided to get one myself.
Assembly was simple enough, I use it without the arms due to the way I like to sit in the chair. However my main complaint is the included wheels are really stiff and hard to rotate, which means the chair doesn't really roll properly.
I will be fitting aftermarket wheels to compensate this.
A reliable chairAnonymous reviewerI bought this a long long time ago, when they still sold the leather version. I wish they'd bring it back.
It's a good chair that's lasted me around a decade. I'd like to buy another, but i'm uncertain about buying the fabric version as it's less easy to clean than the leather version.
The only downside of this chair is that they STILL don't have adjustable arms after all these years. It's still difficult to fit under my desk without compromising the comfort of my chair height. Please consider this one adjustment.

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
