Awkward tilt and lack of supportAnonymous reviewerI must be made different to most; this chair is awful. The seat tilts forward slightly making you feel like you being pushed off the cushion, the back rest is poorly aligned and arm rests are way too high and intrusive meaning the chair can't be easily pushed under a table.3
Armrests are too highAnonymous reviewerBasically usable, but the armrests are too high. They prevent you from using the chair comfortably on most desks. For example, this chair is not compatible with the 132 x 58 cm Alex desk (product code 805.888.88). The problem is that the armrests are slightly too high, and MUCH too far forward. Unfortunately, the armrests are actually structural: they help hold the lining in place.
I'm currently using this chair without the armrests. Overall, I'd say buying this was a mistake.3
So comfyAnonymous reviewerVery, very, very comfy - perfect for long hours in my office.
Looks stylish and sleek, & at such a great price. Very happy!5
Office chairAnonymous reviewerI have found this office chair to be comfortable with many possible adjustable sitting positions. It would have been five stars had the arm rests been a little more padded, however, this would not stop me from recommending it. 4
Amazing quality Anonymous reviewerThis is the third office chair we bought after two very low cost versions from other suppliers. This IKEA product has clearly been tested sufficiently and is so solidly built that the slightly higher price is more than justified. Thanks for amazing quality. 5
Good home office chairAnonymous reviewerWorks well as a home office chair. Feels sturdy. Not keen on the auto-braking feature, which means one can't easily roll the chair out of the way without leaning or sitting on it.5
Great looks but questionable qualityAnonymous reviewerI have 2 of these chairs, bought relatively recently, one at the beginning of the year and another about 5 months later. They look fantastic in my office and the initial comfort was great for a tall person like myself (6'3), constantly having upper back pains due to long hours at my desk in rather smaller and uncomfortable chairs. The issue with them (i.e. Markus chairs) is that after less than half a year the cushions started being quite flat such that I can feel the base of the seat with my bottom. Also, the whole seating base on one of them got wobbly, also after less than half a year of usage and I'm not that heavy (~100kg).
Other annoyances with this chairs were quality control issues, like chips or dents on the armrests or star base and uneven arm pads or cushions.
It's a shame about the Markus chair as it has an unbeatable price, and for me, the initial comfort was much much better than the stupidly expensive Herman Miller Embody Gaming chair, which costs 10x more!

No lumbar or neck supportAnonymous reviewerI like the style, light design, so it doesn't feel heavy and bulky in the environment. But there's no lumbar support, though, the spine curves slightly so after some time I feel pain. The head rest is high, so no support to the neck, which is tensed because the headrest pushes the top of the head slighlty forward. Basically, as you sit, there'll be a slight convex curve from the bottom of the spine all the way to the top of the head. I'm using a lumbar support cushion for chairs, which is a half-moon shaped foam cushion that attaches to the chair with an elastic band, which takes care of the lumber support issue.2

ChairAnonymous reviewerAll good, delivery and Servise is good, chair is comfortable 5
Nice looking, comfortable and affordable chairAnonymous reviewerThis chair in promotional price is about £150. The price is right. I bought it as I used to have a black colour one which was more expensive for many years and I sold it before I moved. Now in the new place I want the same comfortable chair with a new look, and this chair was exactly what I was looking for.5
very nice, comfortable computer chairAnonymous reviewerGood quality, comfortable. Can't speak for longevity bit it feels solid. Easy to assemble. Looks stylish. Nicely adjustable. I hope the pressure canister that provides height and suspension is available as a spare part, otherwise when and if it fails, the chair will have to be binned.4
Armrest too bigAnonymous reviewerI really like this chair, it's very comfortable, but the set of armrest is a big flaw to my opinion. They are so large that they prevent me from sitting close enough to the desk and be fully comfortable, thus causing pain in my back. Another issue is that I can't push the chair completely under my desk as these armrests are too big and the chair doesn't go down even more, and I have a standard height desk from Ikea (70 cm from floor to underneath the table top). It'd be nice to redo the design of these armrest or allowing to buy separate ones which would solve the issues aforementionned.2
Very comfortable but should come in whiteAnonymous reviewerA very comfortable & solid chair. Great recline and a soft and comfy cushion. Supports the back really well and is a bit better than the JÄRVFJÄLLET. But if it came in white color like the JÄRVFJÄLLET, that would enhance the aesthetics and make it perfect and 5-star worthy. @IKEA please make a white version.4
