How to care for your SANSEVIERIA

The care level

When choosing your plant pay attention to your lifestyle and the care level of that plant. Some might need a little more care than others. But they all have a chance to grow and thrive in your home. 


Let's get to know SANSEVIERIA, better known as the snake plant

Snake plant is the common name for a collection of plants native to South Africa and Asia. They all prefer a warm climate so they can withstand a dry environment. Leaves emerge around a central rosette, forming a beautiful funnel shape. Plant tip: These slow growing hardly plants make ideal office companions. 

Conditions

Place in a light area out of direct sunlight, this will damage the leaves. 

Watering

The growing medium should be kept dry most of the time. Avoid watering the‘heart’of the plant, the central rosette and allow excess water to drain away. 

Minimum temperature 12°C

A lower temperature could affect the plant, they prefer a warm climate. 

Location

Snake plants are best kept indoors, in dry climate. The will also act as a fantastic air purifier cleaning the air in your home. 

Not for consumption

This plant is just for decoration, and should not be consumed.

Recommended pot diameter: 12 -14cm

As your plant grows it will need some more space, aim for a pot that's 5-7cm larger than the previous pot.
