DisappointedAnonymous reviewerMaybe just a one off fault but this one’s handle came away from the blade & made it dangerous to use Too far to take it back, would of cost me more in petrol so just disposed of it1

Excellent knife deals with heat wellAnonymous reviewerI bought and owned this knife for years. It’s my favourite knife for food prep. I’ve been on meds lately which make me really doppy. After cutting up a string of sausages I inadvertently lined the knife up and cooked it for 20 mins at 180°. It faired up really well! Obviously it was hot but the handle only melted at the end of the handle slightly and I still use it. I can vouch for its excellent durability! 5

Material

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing things – without losing its valuable properties.

Designer thoughts

Designer thoughts

"With VÖRDA I wanted to make a series of knives with a good combination of function and appearance. One of the places that's obvious is in the handle that has a material and a shape that make it comfortable and easy to grip. It was also important to me to make the knives in high quality re-sharpenable steel - so they can be used every day for a long time."
