The chaise longue has storage under the seat. The lid automatically stops in the open position so that you can easily pick out and put back the things that you are storing.
You can place the chaise longue section to the left or right of the sofa, and switch whenever you like.
You can complete with VIMLE headrest to extend the backrest of the sofa, so that you sit even more comfortably with a nice support for your neck.
Djuparp cover is made of velvet which, through a traditional weaving technique, gives the fabric a warm, deep colour and a soft surface with a dense pile and light, reflective shine.

Was a bit concerned as there aren't many reviews of this on Ikeas site
Now its complete its looking good in my living room,. I intentionally went for this product as I have a awkward and narrow stair case to get items into my property so something that can be assembled.
Only issue I have is that the instructions are confusing. We probably spent more time reading and re-reading the instructions in order to figure out the right way with out particular configuration.
Ikea should really give you a digital copy or something that explains the exact way to make it according to your chosen customization.

Hard to assemble but good sofaAnonymous reviewerHaving read reviews that this sofa was easy to put together, I didn't think it would take two people over three hours to complete!! The products did not match those in the manuals, there were holes missing or in different places, and we ended up watching videos online to figure some parts out and in other places it was a total guess. I did notice that the fabric picks up a lot of hair, fluff etc, so will need maintenance. Washable covers is a great idea, but the reality is that you have to take apart the whole sofa to do so, which (given how long it took to put together the first time) is not an appealing idea. That said, it is comfortable and looks good in my living room. Love the low and wide armrests and the storage too.
