Two drawers for table cloths and various cleaning products, open shelves for cookery books and the large cupboard for a things like batteries, torches, supplements, spare water filters, tissues and more. The top of the unit has three house plants and a small radio. It’s an amazingly good item that looks good and is super functional. Very pleased I did my research and picked this IKEA product. 5

Massive useful cabinet Anonymous reviewerWe were looking for an extra storage and it is perfect for us. As it doesn't consume much place though it has sufficient place to keep the stuff. Glad we purchase VIHALS, it took around 3 hrs to assemble it. It is study.
Though IKEA needs to numbering the parts, as it takes time to match with the manual. I don't understand why they don't do the numbering. It would be easy to assemble for the first timer.

The drawers are on metal runners and structure is solid. Soft close hinges and different handles would be nice but overall a good piece of furniture. 5

Really usefulAnonymous reviewerIt's the same depth as a KALLAX, so a really useful unit for making use of a space that is just the right size for a KALLAX but you don't want yet another cube storage that looks the same! A mixture of open shelves, enclosed shelves and drawers give great variety.
Beware the picture showing the cube boxes in the marketing material though - we assumed that any KALLAX-style box would fit, but a lot are deeper than this unit. We bought a couple of BLADDRA boxes, but they stick out the front by 5cm as the cube shelves have a back panel.5
