Just what I neededAnonymous reviewerI wanted to hang floor to ceiling light weight curtains on a 4.8m track. This track was easy to fit and join once I had found the ceiling joists to screw into. I used string to make a straight line then did test drills to find the wooded joints for the tracks clips to screw into .I used 4 tracks and cut one down.
My light linen curtains move smoothly.
Not enough attachments for use with corner pieces when mounting on bracketsAnonymous reviewerI purchased these tracks along with the corner pieces to use with the wall mount brackets. But if you cut the track into two pieces to use with a corner piece (and mounting with the wall brackets without ending in the wall) you need to use 4 brackets and the associated attachment pieces. You only get two with each piece of track. The brackets and the corner pieces don't include any pieces to attach the track. So be aware that you'll either need to attach an end directly to the wall, or buy another piece of track just to get the two bits of plastics to hold it on the brackets.
So many uses!Anonymous reviewerThese have been a real life saver in our small flat. We've used them as a ceiling mounted shower curtain rail, as an alternative to the Pax wardrobe doors using Ikea's lovely linen curtains, also just as regular curtain tracks using pencil pleat curtians which really look amazing and bring a lot of height and character to our boxy 60's flat. So easy to assemble and you can join a couple together if you have a bigger window or need to cover large wardrobes as we have done.
Beware of joining two togetherAnonymous reviewerIt’s almost impossible to align two tracks end to end perfectly. When they are not perfectly aligned, the gliders get stuck so it’s difficult to draw the curtain across the join. If you pull hard parts start flying around.
Easy to useAnonymous reviewerVery easy to put up with the instruction video but you do need to purchase plugs that suit your ceiling
TrackAnonymous reviewerDid the job
Simple and easyAnonymous reviewerLove this track. Really easy to use and put up. Doesn't look like it should hold but it's brilliant especially on the ceiling brackets. With the double track using curtains and voiles it's really elevated our space and it looks so much more expensive to create than it was.
Great, Anonymous reviewerEasy to install and works smoothly. The only advice is the curtains have to be light weight,
Instructions difficult to read - larger font size and clearer image please Anonymous reviewerLabel item/ parts clearer with a reference
The complete pacakgeAnonymous reviewerBought three of these for redecorating an upstairs room. Easy to follow the instructions, cut to size and install on the wall above the window. Great flexibility to adjust how far from the window the curtains hang.
BrilliantAnonymous reviewerEasy to install on to ceiling, only draw back needed more ceiling things
Excellent for sheer, light curtainsAnonymous reviewerWe used these to cover very large glass sliding doors. They went on fairly easily and even though they are noisy and there's an audible click as the curtains cross over the joins, we've never had any issues with hem. We joined 3 together and they have been brilliant for over a year now.
Solution for dormer window with little ceiling heightAnonymous reviewerHad a dormer installed and was left with a 4cm height between tilt/turn in windows and ceiling, i needed a small rail window could open in & across and not hit the rail.
The ceiling fixings that come with the rail do not fit into ceiling neatly causing rail to drop 0.5cm down.
I retrofitted by drilling screw holes in rail, corner rail, and remaining shorter rail, where curtains would gather on side wall when drawn (picture a very tight box shaped bay window).
Also meant I could line up the corner brackets if I was out by millimetre's, and manipulate bottom track to align (bend metal).
I also had to trim the top of the plastic sliders so they didn’t snag the screw heads in the rail. Successfully installed and does the job.
The idea of these rails is good, but the designers have failed with how tricky it is to line up the rails for diy’ers using the connectors/extender pieces.
If you get the rails out of alignment even slightly they are difficult to use - beware!
Love it Anonymous reviewerVery easy to install instructions not as clear as I'd of liked didn't know or couldn't work out where all pieces went. But got it up and threw left over pieces in a bag.
Easy to slide curtainsAnonymous reviewerThis is great curtain track. The curtains slide open & closed really easily. The track is simple to install and the track joiners work well.
Curtain railAnonymous reviewerPurchased this (with the curtain) to fit inside French windows. Works really well.
Good Idea - terribly designed. Anonymous reviewerFitting the rails to the ceiling was very easy, but them when I went to link two tracks together end to end, the clip that should insert into the ends between them couldn't work. Firstly when it was locked in, it protruded too much above the rail - I had to cut off the top of the lever. Secondly, when I tried to slide the second rail into position the suposedly-locked link slid inside the first one - I had to hold it with the point of a screw until the two were almost together. (That sentence seems gibberish, but will make sense if you have to do this.)
Then we come to the hooks. As a strong and nimble-fingered person I struggled to clip the hooks to the sliders. I ended up removing the sliders from the rail to do this, and then had to put them back - carefully all the same way round. The hooks themselves seem very flimsy. Having put a lot of effort into installing the rail we decided to keep them, but will not be buying any more.
Vidga curtain railAnonymous reviewerThis is a very easy rail to install which only needs two screws.
Great rack on its own Anonymous reviewerRest curtain rack o. It’s own without any corners or joins.
Simple to installAnonymous reviewerThe curtain track was very simple to install and came with a range of fixing options so very straight forward to adapt for ceiling or wall attachment.
