Beautiful light Anonymous reviewerThe light is beautiful, looks great on the wall. It comes with a remote control that requires 2AAA batteries. The instructions are poor, there isn't any information on using the remote control - I looked up the information online. You double click the larger button to change colours, then long press the larger button to increase the brightness and the smaller button to dim. I was able to get blue, light pink, cool white, yellow, warm white, orange, red. I didn't really see green or a strong pink. I like the warm white, yellow and orange tones. The instructions again were a let down on how to mount to the wall - it tells you how to remove from the wall?! It's quite awkward to unclip and open to wall mount. Now that it's up I love it lol.4
Light great - switch annoyingAnonymous reviewerThe light gives off a really nice glow and I like the dimming function and colour changing options. The switch is really annoying as the batteries don’t last very long.
This is same with another Ikea lamp with this sort of switch function so it’s disappointing not to have been fixed3
Looks lovelyAnonymous reviewerThis lamp does what it says. You can turn it on and off, dim it and change colours all with the remote. Lost a star because it took a while to figure out how to use it and the instructions are not clear. You do not need the hub unless you want more options. To change colours just double click one of the buttons, to dim or brighten hold them down, and to turn off just press. I hope this helps!4
The most beautiful lighting everAnonymous reviewerI was super sceptical when I was reading the reviews and to be completely honest the instructions are horrendous. I didn't want to buy anything additional in order to have it changed colours but I just used the Home app on my iPhone and it works absolutely perfectly. It didn't make it clear anywhere that you could do that, but I found it on a chat room forum! Once you know it takes two seconds. 5
Looks nice but damaged upon arrivalAnonymous reviewerThe lamp arrived damaged within the packaging and Ikea sent a replacement that is also damaged inside the packaging. The lamp also needs additional purchases to function as the video shows. You can alternate between colours but if you want it to transition like the video you need the hub as well.3
Excellent lamp!Anonymous reviewerBought two of these via click and collect from the Hammersmith store, super easy to set up directly to my Apple home app.
Simply add device, scan the back of the lamp and it connects in seconds, you just have to decide which room it’s in and personal touches in the home app and you’re good to go!
Very nice hue they give off plus multitude of colours/hues to switch up whenever you want-which I understand is vastly limited if you only use the remote and not the app. 5
The most awful product I ever bought at IKEAAnonymous reviewerPairing doesn’t work. We spent hours to try it. Only got error messages. Poor instructions. My partner is an IT engineer and I’m a former IT correspondent. Don’t buy it! It’s bad.1
Great smart lampAnonymous reviewerLove the design and it connected perfectly with the Ikea Home Smart and also Apple Home apps.5
I wasn't able to pair it with anythingAnonymous reviewerLEt's start by saying I am a geek. I have tried to pair this... for hours, and went to the different reddit/forums to get to the bottom of this... I just doesn;t worl. Returned.1
Great light!Anonymous reviewerOnce set up it works really well. I have it connected directly to my Apple Home app + AppleTV as Matter hub.5
Love it. Sabine Marcelis is a genius. Anonymous reviewerThe bad reviews are from impatient people. It’s stunning and so easy to use and set up.
Remote has a little hole you push that and it opens out 2AAA batteries inside and boom it works. Remote is pre paired with each lamp, you double click to change colours, you hold and press up to make it brighter and press down and hold to dim. Instructions could be a bit clearer but it’s not hard. It’s sooooo good. I have 3 set up. Game changer in lighting for me. Love Sabine Marcelis work so much. 5
NightmareAnonymous reviewerYou can only get a few of the shown colours if you only have the lamp & the remote that comes with it. You have to pay £60 for the ikea hub or an apple one that starts at £99.
The remote has to be be paired with the lamp before you can change the few pastel colours it allows without the extra kit. No clear instructions & had to go down a youtube hole to find out how to pair the remote & lamp. Lacklustre colours without the extra hub. Please include a more in depth instruction booklet.2
Varmblixt.2 Anonymous reviewerI’m using it with just the remote control and setting it up was terrible! Is it pre-pared ? Or not? The instructions just aren’t clear. Had to search the internet but got there eventually. The light itself is beautiful just like the older version and it looks stunning but and it’s massive BUT the colours are very limited with the remote. Only a handful are available not the amount shown on the adverts. Not everyone will be connecting this to their home hub. So I’m pretty disappointed if I’m honest. Do better Ikea. 3
Beautiful once you get the hang of it! Anonymous reviewerJust purchased this in store a month before it was meant to be released! It’s beautiful very impressed with it and lives up the hype! Instructions or lack of are confusing but I found if you unplug it and plug it back in then pair it with your Apple Home App via QR code on the back straight away it located and syncs quickly. You don’t need a IKEA hub you can control all the colours via Apple Home App (and Matter-compatible systems) and the remote that comes with it (but that doesn’t come with AAA batteries and only lets you select about 12). So much prefer using the App much more of a range of colours to chose from. I am very impressed and now want to buy a few more to make a wall feature out of it! 5
