Made from cast iron, which spreads heat evenly, keeps the pan warm for a long time, and gives food an even browning.

Works well on all types of hobs, including induction hob.

The pan has extra thick walls and base, which distribute the heat evenly and give good cooking results.

Two handles make it easy to lift the pan.

Can also be used in the oven since it is made entirely of metal.

  • This product is pre-treated with vegetable soybean oil.

    To season a cast iron pot/pan, rub all surfaces with oil. Then heat the pot/pan in the oven or on the hob to max. 150 °C for a minimum of one hour. Leave it to cool and wipe off excess oil.

    If corrosion or food stains arise, or if food burns and sticks, the pot/pan can be cleaned with steel wool or an abrasive sponge and then re-seasoned.

    Use a hob with the same or a smaller diameter to save energy.

Brilliant once you strip and re-season itAnonymous reviewerBought this to cook steaks. Stripped the original IKEA seasoning off first by putting the pan in my self-cleaning oven for a few hours until the coating flaked off like ash. Then seasoned it 6 times (wipe cold pan down all over with a light flaxseed oil coating, put into oven upside down, turn on oven to highest temp, leave in for 1 hour then turn off oven. Let pan cool down naturally inside oven with door closed (takes a few hours). Repeat). Now it cooks steak perfectly every single time, is completely non-stick, and is my go-to grilling pan. After use, just rinse the grease out, scrub clean with a nylon brush (no soap) and put in oven upside down at 100c for 30 mins to dry. That's it. Well worth the money once you've sorted the seasoning out.5
