Product details

The innovative S-core of the mattress has two layers of pocket springs to provide comfort exactly where it’s needed and support your back.

Individually wrapped pocket springs isolate movements, so you won´t disturb your partner if you have the habit of moving a lot when sleeping.

Pressure points like shoulders and hips are supported by 7 comfort zones – slightly softer springs around the heavier parts of the body help keep your body aligned.

An extra thick and quilted foam top layer adds to the relaxing feel.

The pocket springs are designed to help air circulate and regulate your body temperature.

The deeply quilted stretch fabric around the top adds to the crafted look, is soft to the touch and moves with you when sleeping.

Practical handles on the sides help you when moving the mattress.

Choose a pillow you like to go with your mattress in order to really boost your sleep.

The springs run from edge to edge to avoid a gap if you want to place two mattresses next to each other. Also, the mattresses fit together seamlessly when placed side by side.

The mattress cover is designed to stay firmly in place on the mattress.

Only to be used on one side – no need to turn the mattress over.

You can sit comfortably on the edge of your bed since the reinforced edge helps keep the mattress firm and even.

To keep the mattress fresh, use a textile cleaner suitable for upholstery and vacuum it occasionally.

The complete mattress is covered by a 10 year guarantee. You can read about the terms in the guarantee brochure.

REALLY BAD MATTRESSVerified ReviewerI have a single Hovag in my spare bedroom that it's really comfortable so I thought to buy a king for my master but Hovag it's not available anymore so I got first a Valevag thinking it would be similar and then the medium firm of the Vagstranda as an upgrade and they are both awful. I got the medium but it's too hard even after 3 months of using it. It gives me backache every night. I wish I never bought it1
So uncomfortableVerified ReviewerBought this mattress recently- not at all like it was when we tried it. Rock hard and so uncomfortable. Will be looking to exchange although would prefer a full refund as none of the other ikea mattresses seem any better. IKEA Firm means you will be more comfy on the floor- not good for side sleepers especially. Really poor!1
Out of pocket and in painVerified ReviewerThis mattress is so hard my body actually hurts. In the day I feel like I have bruised legs as if I’d been punched. I didn’t know about the 90 day try at home so thought I was doomed with this mattress. Now I read about that and it’s too late as I’ve had the mattress for 6 painful months.1
Not a firm mattressVerified ReviewerThis is my second mattress from Ikea and simply they don't support firm back sleeping positions. I had doubt in my mind it was me and i'd done something but after recovery through yoga and exercise the mattress is clearly the issue. I am way past my return period now. Ikea mattresses aren't what they used to be. Even for the more expensive ones.1
AwfulVerified ReviewerI bought the firm version of this mattress and it was like sleeping on a slab of concrete. We exchanged for the medium firm, and it has absolutely no ability to prevent “roll together” it’s far too soft, and is not suitable for anyone wanting to sleep in a bed with a partner. IKEA mattress guarantee not worth the money as now I’m left with a total waste of mattress. I swapped my Simba out for this as that had gotten too soft and previously had good experience with IKEA, thought it was a safe bet. I was wrong. Should’ve gone to a reputable mattress retailer.1
Love it!Verified ReviewerSince I’ve bought this mattress, my night sleeps are so good, very comfortable. Its worth a buy.5
Awful back ache, sags, much worse than HovagVerified ReviewerI bought this in medium/firm as the reviews said it was a firm mattress and I preferred the medium firm hovag over the firm. But the mattress quickly started to sag and I now have constant back ache. I have turned the mattress around to sleep on the other side which helped initially but now that it starting to sag. I want to exchange it for a firm but I'm past the 90 days. It's a big problem as the mattress is getting worse over time and it seemed fine at first. What's happened to the quality, my children have hovag beds and as good as new but they stopped selling them. The foam Asvang has also changed hugely and is nothing like the quality it used to be.1
So much better than our 8 year old "top of the range" Ikea mattress.Verified ReviewerWe were following the guide of another retailer about replacing every 8 years when we stumbled upon this mattress in store. It came rolled which was different our last one was delivered by ikea flat. This one we unrolled and left to come to shape for a day, and put it on the bed. It was very comfy, being larger and my wife not, we were worried about the firmness but it was nothing to worry about, the generous layer of foam really softens it while still being firm. I've had the best night's sleep this week vs the last few years which was at the time Ikeas "best mattress (by price)". If you're reading this, try the mattress. If you don't like it, you have 90 days to swap it out.5
WonderfulVerified ReviewerGreat sleep, is heavyweight mattress.5

Function solution

The mattress works while you sleep

The comfort zones of our mattresses are simply zones that support your body in different ways to keep your spine aligned and create a good a sleeping position. Slightly softer springs around the hip and shoulder, so they can sink softly into the mattress. And slightly firmer springs where, on the contrary, support is needed – such as for the legs and ankles. The overall effect is that your body does not have to work to find a comfortable position. Just relax and sleep well.

Form design process

One thing you can count on – our mattresses

We’ve rolled around on our mattresses, spilled coffee on them and even lived with them much like many do at home. Not us literally, but our test lab machines. That’s why we know that you can do yoga, work or play with your children on the bed without worrying about the mattress. Your sleep is our priority, along with health and the environment – so we make sure to eliminate all harmful chemicals. A lot can feel uncertain, but you can count on one thing – our mattresses.
