The innovative S-core of the mattress has two layers of pocket springs to provide comfort exactly where it’s needed and support your back.

Individually wrapped pocket springs isolate movements, so you won´t disturb your partner if you have the habit of moving a lot when sleeping.

Pressure points like shoulders and hips are supported by 7 comfort zones – slightly softer springs around the heavier parts of the body help keep your body aligned.

An extra thick and quilted foam top layer adds to the relaxing feel.

The pocket springs are designed to help air circulate and regulate your body temperature.

The deeply quilted stretch fabric around the top adds to the crafted look, is soft to the touch and moves with you when sleeping.

Practical handles on the sides help you when moving the mattress.

Choose a pillow you like to go with your mattress in order to really boost your sleep.

The springs run from edge to edge to avoid a gap if you want to place two mattresses next to each other. Also, the mattresses fit together seamlessly when placed side by side.

The mattress cover is designed to stay firmly in place on the mattress.

Only to be used on one side – no need to turn the mattress over.

You can sit comfortably on the edge of your bed since the reinforced edge helps keep the mattress firm and even.

To keep the mattress fresh, use a textile cleaner suitable for upholstery and vacuum it occasionally.

Comfortable mattressVerified ReviewerBought this 3 weeks ago as we neded a new firm mattress. After trying all of them in store, we were happy with this one. We bought it, as it comes rolled up we took it home in our car. We had read it is best to unroll it in a spare bed for at least 2 days so that it is ready to sleep on. Ordered a firm one and took a day or 2 to get used to it. It is one of the best we have ever bought. Very comfortable. I am smaller and slimmer than my husband and we both think it is so comfortable. Can recommend this mattress.5

Good if you are sleeping by yourselfVerified ReviewerI was so excited when I bought this mattress as it’s so comfy when you sleep in it by yourself and I was single at the time. When I got a partner and we stay at mine it’s turned into a nightmare, I wake up with hip pain and can’t sleep at all. The mattress dips in the middle so being a side sleeper my hips aren’t straight and I wake up in agony. It’s got to the point where we no longer sleep at mine but am annoyed I didn’t return it now within the 3 month period as I didn’t find out until someone else slept In the bed with me!! I will now be saving for a memory foam one and not sure what to do with this! I think it it a pretty expensive purchase for me and not a common item to buy so I’m really disappointed and out of pocket!1
Vågstranda superking size mattress - no unpacking advice *Verified ReviewerThis seems to be a good matress, although we haven't slept on it yet! But the packaging and the weight!! A few words of caution/advice before unpacking would have been very useful, i.e.: *The white surface is the upper surface. This is extra important for this large size mattress, as it is VERY heavy, (40+ kilos), so if you get it wrong, it's a feat of strength to turn it over. *When removing the strong plastic wrapping (it comes rolled), make sure you do this on the bed frame, as again, it is very heavy to move. ALSO, when you get to cutting the last bit of plastic wrapping beware, as it springs out very strongly to become flat. So make sure you have nothing precious / breakable nearby. *4

AwfulVerified ReviewerBought this mattress around 5 months ago now at the recommendation of a friend. It is a solid/ heavy mattress and feels well made, i find it comfortable when sleeping on it alone however when my partner comes into the bed/moves in the bed i can feel every movement, and feel as though i am rolling into the middle of the bed. So much so I have to grip the edge whilst trying to get to sleep. This has gotten progressively worse and I wish i had returned this within the 3 month period. Now I am stuck with a mattress I hate and at least 4/5 nights a week I end up moving into the spare bedroom just to get a good nights sleep. Is is supposed to be individual pocket springs so I don't understand why this happens, perhaps a manufacturing fault. Wouldn't recommend this at all.1

Check you receive the correct firmness on the packagingVerified ReviewerI bought a double and 2 singles for my house and they seem to be what I tried in the store, it is sometimes a bit confusing when selecting the firmness level, blink and you miss it on the packaging and I can’t see a label on the actual mattress which mentions firmness level. I might be wrong but I think by the mixed reviews it would appear people are mistakenly picking the wrong firmness in store, as the name is the same for both, or being delivered the wrong firmness and not checking the packaging first before opening. I’m so far impressed with the ones I have and seem quite good value. I’m a Medium sleeper, not too soft, not too firm, just right! Goldilocks ;)5

We tried an identical mattress in-store and it was the right firmness, but the one delivered is like a rock. It's unbearably uncomfortable; my wife and I got more sleep with newborn babies than we did on this mattress. Now we're shot to pieces and too tired to work. If I can't get a refund, this one will be going to the rubbish dump.1

It was extremely hard and uncomfortable to sleep on, even though I had opted for the "medium-firm" option. I was unable to sleep properly on it due to waking regularly in discomfort. I will be returning it. Ikea say that it can feel firm for the first 30 days, but even after allowing a few weeks, the mattress did not improve at all. Rock hard, uncomfortable and bad value - not the mattress we tried in the storeVerified ReviewerThis mattress is useless - we got a 'medium firm' after trying in the Greenwich store. The in store mattress had some give and supported you well, this is rock hard and painful to sleep on (as multiple reviews here point out)..IKEA claim it can seem to firm but this changes over time - not true at all, it's just not the same as the demonstration mattresses they have at all, to the extent that you wonder why they even bother having the ones to try. Quite angry at how poor a mattress this is - will try to exchange but not confident in the quality of any IKEA mattresses after this, not to mention the cost of hiring a van, driving to the store etc. IKEA mattresses used to be fantastic, so not sure what happened. Avoid.1
REALLY BAD MATTRESSVerified ReviewerI have a single Hovag in my spare bedroom that it's really comfortable so I thought to buy a king for my master but Hovag it's not available anymore so I got first a Valevag thinking it would be similar and then the medium firm of the Vagstranda as an upgrade and they are both awful. I got the medium but it's too hard even after 3 months of using it. It gives me backache every night. I wish I never bought it1
