Replacement for a damaged oneAnonymous reviewerVery quick response to replace a shelf that was damaged in transit. Precision cut shelves so well made . But if the packaging was better it wouldn’t have been damaged. I appreciate that packaging is wasteful but so is a damaged shelf that had to be replaced twice because of the lack of protection ( the other parts of the units a very well packaged ). Maybe a discount or loyalty scheme if we return packaging for reuse or recycle. Other than that ikea kitchen packs are very well packed and delivered .

Withstands more than it has to
Our kitchens must withstand a lot. The shelf test is just one of our many quality controls. We load a 80 cm wide shelf with 27 kilos, for a full week. The shelf may not bend more than a few millimetres - that proves it can withstand demanding everyday use.
