Great but why?Anonymous reviewerLove this little microplane, but the 'teeth' go two ways. Makes it less effective as there's a shorter grating surface, on what is already a short grater. Why?4
So convenientAnonymous reviewerCompact and so useful, love it5
Not usefulAnonymous reviewerIs difficult to grab with your hands, is good that is so sharp but as the cheese or whatever you are grating is not in place and constantly moving, you end up close to hurting yourself. I love ikea in general but the design of this product is simply not good.1
Don’t buy expensive onesAnonymous reviewerWorks just the same as all the expensive ones5
Difficult to useAnonymous reviewerNice idea but hard to hold, not enough holding space to grip and use...and that cover is hard to put on/off.1
Brilliant little grater.Anonymous reviewerUse it mostly for zesting fruit. Takes the skin off well and easy to clean.5
Great microplaneAnonymous reviewerGreat little tool for zesting lemons etc - the plastic along the sides stops your fingers from being grated and it's a good size for very little money. Impressed - we bought 2!!5
Lovely little gadgetAnonymous reviewerGreat little tool. Would recommend5
Needed this for ages Anonymous reviewerNice and small for parmesan cheese5
Great graterAnonymous reviewerGot this to grate fresh ginger and it's just perfect! Great value for money too.5
I didn't expect it to grate so well. Fantastic jobAnonymous reviewerperhaps different colours of the same product 5
HandyAnonymous reviewerI've bought this to take on holiday for grating ginger and garlic so quick & easy5
Simple and keeps the kitchen tidyAnonymous reviewerGood grater, nice slim design so you don't get your grated cheese flying about all over the place. 5
Try some lateral thinking! Great grater!Anonymous reviewerToo many negative reviews talking about the bidirectional grating surface, and lack of handle.
With a bit of lateral thinking, you'll realise that this is a close second to a Microplane, but 10 times cheaper!
The trick is, use the tight fitting sleeve as the handle, and slide it halfway down the grater. Use the handle at either end, depending on if you're right or left handed.
Maybe it's a design feature that didn't translate to the product in the shop, but it almost feels like this is the correct way to use it.

GraterAnonymous reviewerLovely and easy to handle. Grates beautifully 5
GoodAnonymous reviewerGood product easy to use 5
BentAnonymous reviewerI have used this maybe 3 times and already the raised metal flakes have already bent downwards as to be flush with the surface. I may have done too hard back and forth but this is what i feel is reasonable usage for a grater. Therefore I have to give this a one star because it is not so great for the use it pertains to be for.1
UPPYLLD graterAnonymous reviewerVery good for grating against a surface such as a cutting board or plate with one end resting on that surface, however when grating directly over a meal there is not enough none grating surface to grasp or the grated material fall on to your hand before reaching the plate. A longer section of plastic at the hanging end may have been advisable.3
Fantastic product Anonymous reviewerFantastic purchase, great product and very good value for money5
