Chipboard base is a weak point for the feetAnonymous reviewerWe bought a pair of these chair a few years ago and they have been faithful friends until one of the legs gave way though the chipboard base upon which the feet are screwed into. I see the reinforcing plate on the inside is less than 2cm square being insufficient to spread the load across the chipboard. I have never had an IKEA product fail so spectacularly and living close to a store we do have a number of products including the whole of our kitchen! We will need to get a replacement and hope the design has changed !2
