Product details

This kit is already pre-paired, so all you have to do is screw the light source into the lamp socket and then start using your smart lighting.

With a smart LED bulb you can adapt your lighting to different activities, for example a warmer light for dinner and a brighter, colder light for working.

With the remote control, you can turn on, turn off, dim and gradually change the colour temperature of the light from warm to cold.

By dimming the lighting, you change the mood in the room.

You can use the remote to control up to 10 smart light sources which will all react in the same way.

Psst! 2 pcs AAA batteries are required for STYRBAR remote control. Sold separately.

The LED light source consumes up to 85% less energy and lasts 20 times longer than incandescent bulbs.

Good to know

The light from this LED bulb feels as strong as the light from a traditional 75W incandescent bulb.

Can only be used with IKEA Smart lighting products.

The colour temperature can be switched between 2200 Kelvin (warm glow), 2700 Kelvin (warm white) and 4000 Kelvin (cool white).

The bulb is not suitable to use with wired dimmers.

Poor switch operationAnonymous reviewerThe bulb works fine and the range of temperatures is excellent and works well. The switch is not so good. It works fine but you have to press it once to wake up and again to do anything which gets irritating quickly. The matte surface attracts dirt very quickly.3
Barely works after 5 monthsAnonymous reviewerThis was a wonderful product to start with, the small remote control for the light was very handy to have next to my bed as I am disabled and this made it so convenient to place within reach and use. But at just 5 months of use, the bulb no longer responds to the remote control inputs (even with new batteries) and the bulb now only lights up to the lowest light setting, and won't get any brighter. I cannot recommend this item1

works greatAnonymous reviewerI use this directly with Home Assistant using a ZigBee dongle (no hub). After resetting the device, it connected perfectly. I then mapped the buttons manually and have it controlling 8 devices (on press, 4 on continual press/hold). Works great!5
Works great but dimming instructions aren't clearAnonymous reviewerThis is a decent product. As another reviewer noted, I was initially annoyed the bulb didn't appear to be dimmable, then I figured out you need to hold the brightness up/down buttons on the remote instead of just clicking them - I don't think this was explained anywhere in the instruction booklet.4
Easy way to install lighting controllable by a remoteAnonymous reviewerThis starter kit is £5 cheaper than buying the bulb and STYRBAR remote separately, and this could be a 5-star review if only IKEA would have allowed a choice of bulb fitting but unfortunately you are forced to buy it with a E27 screw-cap bulb even though IKEA does sell B22 bayonet-cap LED smart bulbs. This means I have use the IKEA B22 to E27 bulb converter (£3 for 2-pack).3
Great bulbs and remotes…Anonymous reviewerThese are great bulbs and remotes which have performed reliably for me for over a year now of daily use. I used to use a different brand that could also colour change but after a year or two of use these would always stop working. So far so good with these ikea bulbs, the remote is of particularly good quality and can be paired to other bulbs easily should you add more in the future. I use the 2700 Kelvin (warm white) and 4000 Kelvin (cool white) modes. The 2200 Kelvin (warm glow) setting is way too warm for me and never gets used. I would like to see a colour choice between warm white and Cool white, and do away with the “warm glow” altogether…. This would make them perfect. I have purchased them for other family members too, and they agree that they are great useful products and are now converted to remote control dimmable bulbs…4

Needs powerAnonymous reviewerWas led to believe these bulbs wouldn’t require power and would just need batteries this is incorrect it still needs a power source so are quite pricey as could get bulbs that change colours and controllable via mobile online cheaper… £30 down the drain 1
