Reviews

Very happy with oursAnonymous reviewerI can see there are some other negative reviews, but we are happy with this product! I have two of these boxes in the Tornviken cupboard, which we have wall-mounted next to a cupboard that had an awkward sized gap. They were easy to assemble, I have no chips or issues. They come with strips of felt to go along the bottom to stop them scratching. They slide easily in and out. Our are not protruding at all but we only have two, in the bottom two slots. The top section of our cupboard is left open (no boxes) for cookbooks. This means that the screws (and caps) used to affix the cupboard to the wall are at the top and do not interfere with the two boxes we have at the bottom. I can see that if you had all 4 boxes, this might be an issue. IKEA should mention this, as now I see in some photos they do have the top box empty often! This might be why? Anyway with two boxes in the lower options with tea in them, near the kettle, we're very happy.5

Material

What is fibreboard?

Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
