FabVerified ReviewerPerfect size and price.5
Not badVerified ReviewerWorth for the price1
Stylish rugVerified ReviewerA stylish rug at a relatively reasonable price, which provides a lovely neutral, textured floor covering. My only criticism is that there are a lot of visible knots and ends which could have been finished much better.5
Sizing issuesVerified ReviewerWe bought 2 and they're very different in size5
Good quality.Verified ReviewerGood quality.5
Not fit for purposeVerified ReviewerI bought this rug and the recommended underlay as part of a a £599 order. I bought it to go on a brand new low pile carpet. You only have to set foot on it and the whole thing is a sea of ripples. You constantly have to straighten it all day everyday. I contacted Ikea to ask for a refund on the basis that it was not fit for purpose (not that I had changed my mind). I was told that because I was just outside the 21 days and had not retained the packaging (it just came with a label attached), I could not be refunded. Poor product and poor response Ikea.1
Not what I was expectingVerified ReviewerI chose the smaller of these rugs because in the photo it looks paler than the other one, I thought the black/neutral description meant that the larger one was classed as black, because it looks darker in the photo and the smaller being neutral. Even zooming in on the smaller photo reveals a neutral rug, perfect for the neutral interior I was helping a friend create. What turned up is not the same as the photo, its definitely black and neutral, there's a black thread running through it all over, so it's not suitable for a neutral interior. Really disappointed, I know it's only a tenner, but I still had to pay £40 delivery for this, a computer chair and a few other household bits, nothing heavy. Not happy, change the photo Ikea, so you don't mislead anyone else. 😒1
Washable rug, perfect for pet ownersVerified Reviewerit's so useful to have a rug that can be washed and looks good too. And a very good price5
Great value, wish the light colour came in a larger size!Verified ReviewerI have the 120*180cm rug in beige. Up close it has a number of imperfections, but when laid on the floor it looks great and seems hard-wearing. It's 100% cotton so I steam ironed it over the ironing board to reduce the wrinkles, and it looks fine. I wish it were more of an area rug size so I've been looking up online videos for tips on how to weave two rugs together without a noticeable seam. Wish me luck! If it fails I can just re-hem them and I'll have learned something new!4
Doesn’t lay flatVerified ReviewerThey look lovely but unfortunately they just don’t lay flat so are more like thick blankets, I’m using two as dust sheets instead, and I’ll gift the other two. Too dangerous even with the underlay.2
Dirty rug woven in specs of dirtVerified ReviewerThe rug is absolutely filthy! It has woven bits of dirt. I would not recommend1
Affordable 100% cotton rugVerified ReviewerI didn't expect to find a 100% cotton rug for this cheap. I don't think there are any non plastic rugs anywhere near this price. Reassuringly heavy and feels soft.5
I love these matsVerified ReviewerI love these mats5
lovely rug - wish it came in a bigger size!Verified ReviewerLOVE this rug, the colours are exactly what I was looking for. However, I wish it came it a slightly bigger size. Great value for money though. It does come folded up so there will be creases but I'm sure these will drop out over time.5
Good looking rugVerified ReviewerGood looking rug5
Nice for the priceVerified ReviewerYou get a lot of rug for your money, which is great but if like me you are going to put the rug on top of wood flooring i highly recommend purchasing the rug anti-slip. The nuteral colours are really nice.4
Does the job, nice softVerified ReviewerDoes the job, nice soft material. Really gotta flatten it though so you don't flip the sides up walking over it lol5
Excellent! Quadruple use rug, perfect for pet ownersVerified ReviewerReally versatile product, and perfect if you have pets. I’ve bought a few of these in both sizes/colours, and currently using as: 1. A heavy weight bed cover 2. A substantial sofa cover 3. Fabric for new cushion covers 4. A rug - doesn’t slip on my carpets, you would need to add a non-slip backing if using on hard floors). Understated, washes/dries well (but does shrink a little on first wash), easy to vacuum for hair removal between washes (need to turn the suction down a bit). Would love to see a runner and bigger size in both colours.5
Very thinVerified ReviewerNot what I was expecting it seems very thin, the minute I laid it down it reminded me of a decorators sheet or an old picnic blanket, it don’t have a rug feel to it. I really hated and unfortunately it’s going back.2

Our take on cotton

We use cotton in many of our products, from sofas and cushions to bed linen and mattresses. It is a soft, durable and renewable fibre that breathes and is good at absorbing moisture. All these great qualities make cotton one of our most important materials, but it isn’t without its challenges, much having to do with conventional farming methods that negatively impact the environment and poor working conditions for farmers. With our size and production volumes, we want to drive change in the cotton industry.

Working together to drive change

Each year, IKEA uses around 0.5 percent of all cotton grown around the world. This may not seem like a lot, but the number is big enough to drive change in the industry. For many years, we have been working with partners and stakeholders globally to transform conventional large-scale cotton farming and set social and environmental standards for cotton production. As an example, we helped set up the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) who runs the world’s largest cotton sustainability programme. BCI exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future. Today, more than 110,000 farmers have adopted more sustainable farming practices within IKEA projects.

Ensuring compliance throughout the value chain

All IKEA products are produced in accordance with the IKEA IWAY Standard, our Supplier Code of Conduct. It sets out the minimum environmental and social standards expected from our suppliers, including compliance with local laws. We do not accept any form of forced labour, child labour or treatments in breach of our supply chain requirements. Our cotton teams across the globe ensure that all cotton used in IKEA products meets the demands of compliance in our supply chain. By having teams on the ground in areas where it has previously been challenging to work responsibly, we can challenge the traditional ways of working and improve the industry. If we discover that we are acting in places where we cannot ensure our requirements are being met, we follow-up on the ground and drive change.

What is cotton?

Cotton is a practical and hardwearing natural material. It comes from the seed capsule of the cotton plant, which forms small wads when it blooms. Cotton rugs are easy to care for, because you can wash them in an ordinary washing machine and they can stand high temperatures. Cotton is heavy when wet, so it's important to check that your machine has enough weight capacity. It's also good to know that cotton may shrink, so you may have to stretch the rug a bit after you've washed it.
