Is it dishwasher safe?Anonymous reviewerWe bought this cutlery set around four years ago. We recently installed a dishwasher, and those older utensils did not survive the process. The gold colour completely disappeared and we were left with a slightly gold tinged silver. Our son is autistic and MUST have gold cutlery. It did occur to us that the gold colour washed off in the dishwasher because of the age of the cutlery, and so we bought another set. The brand new set have maintained their colour despite several dishwashings. 4

Material

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free.
