Reviews

Creaky slats! Anonymous reviewerThe frame looks nice and is the right size for where I needed it to fit. Other beds were too wide or too high. But the slats really creaked where they rub on the side rails. Followed the advice of others in the reviews and have put some flat pads underneath them which has helped and will hopefully make this bed useable. IKEA should address this problem either through a design update or by providing suitable felt pads with each TARVA bed. 3
Looks great, but way too noisy (even for light kids!)Anonymous reviewerPurchased two of these beds for my twins. While they look lovely in the room, I am really disappointed by how squeaky and noisy they are. My five-year-old twins are very light, yet the frames creak and groan with the slightest movement.1
Tarva bed frame reviewAnonymous reviewerThis frame is quite solid, very easy to put togther.5
So loudAnonymous reviewerI bought this bed as it looks really nice and slim but no one can sleep anymore as it make such a loud noise that we can hear it from the other side of the house. It is a shame as I never had issues with IKEA’s furniture but i would not recommend this. My son has been sleeping on the floor for now until I found d a solution as we just can’t take the noise anymore1
Very noisy bedAnonymous reviewerBought this bed for my 11 year olds room. Easy to put together (did it on my own in a few hours). Looks lovely and I love the space underneath but this bed is VERY loud when he moves. If I'm downstairs and hes moving in bed it sounds like he is dragging furniture its literally so noisy. I read the reviews before buying too. It would be lovely in a spare room I think but if it's for every day use I wouldn't recommend.2
Great valueAnonymous reviewerEasy to assemble, sturdy frame, comfortable mattress. Highly recommend5
Great bed, great priceAnonymous reviewerWe visited IKEA Warrington looking for a bed for our spare room when we found this, its sturdy and well designed as well as being cheap too!!5
Tarva bed frameAnonymous reviewerNo issues at all with this frame. It’s slim and sturdy even for a teenager. Light enough even to move to clean around the bed.5

Good sturdy bedAnonymous reviewerPerfect for our grandson 5
Great value. Smart.Anonymous reviewerHad tioerect myself. Very tricky but managed. No alternative! Ikea recommend 2 people and I agree. Great bed. Simple and clean lines. 5
Easy and SimpleAnonymous reviewerQuick and simple to put together, advises two but did it alone without issues. Does exactly as described and my little one has moved to a full bed easily.5
GoodAnonymous reviewerBought this because it looked stronger than many other similar styled beds. And it is. Used by adult without issues, very pleased.5
BedAnonymous reviewerIt was good for the price4
Great buyAnonymous reviewerGood value for money ideal for teenage sons room. Although latts were a little noisy with movement when 1st put together! 4
New furniture from IKEAAnonymous reviewerFinding the need for furnishing my newly acquired flat, one turned to IKEA for a few items including the TARVA bed, with the mattress, and this seems to meet the need very satisfactorily at a reasonable price. I did notice that it was necessary to follow the assembly instructions very carefully to ensure that everything came together correctly, but arrived at the right result in the end! Of course having the right tools is essential, it's not possible to complete the job without them, so the prospective purchaser might have a little more to pay for this if, as for myself, all the things from the previous house are still in storage elsewhere.5
Excellent bedAnonymous reviewerLovely strong stylish bed Easy to put together 5
Poor assembly fittingsAnonymous reviewerThe 8 x hollow metal dowels 128780 were far too large a diameter for the pre drilled holes had to really force home with a hammer causing damage to wooden legs, nearly impossible to then assemble bed rails, had loads of items from ikea this was by far the worse l, really frustrating to assemble, I would advise not to purchase until this issue is sorted.1
Sturdy and easy to assemble Anonymous reviewerNice quality with good finish. Easy to put together and sturdy5
