Care

The best way to extend the life of your wooden outdoor furniture is by cleaning it regularly, not leaving it outdoors unprotected more than necessary and to re-stain it on a regular basis.

Clean: With a mild soapy solution. Wipe dry with a clean and dry cloth.

Maintenance: To prevent the surface from drying out and cracking and moisture from penetrating into the wood we recommend you to re-stain the furniture on a regular basis, for example once or twice a year.

Storing: If possible, store in a cool dry place indoors. If the furniture is stored outside, cover it with a waterproof cover. After a rain or snowfall, wipe off excess water or snow from flat surfaces. Allow air to circulate to avoid condensation.

The wooden slats are stained a pleasing mid-brown and the black paint on the frame wasn't scuffed or chipped when it arrived - something that concerned me a little as this was delivered, sight unseen. I could only have one chair in the area of the garden where it was to go so being able to buy a single chair of this type was ideal as they often come in pairs. For the price, I think it's excellent value. 5

Bad batch or just too cheap to make wellAnonymous reviewerBought two, one broke on first use. Took it back for a replacement. Realised when using them the next time that c. 50% of the screws holding the slats were either loose. In most cases the hole was too big for the screw to hold the slats. I spent an hour taking out the loose screws and packing the holes with matchsticks to enable the screws to hold… If this design fault (or production fault?) was resolved it would be 5 stars.1

The paint on the slats is more like a stain and I wasn’t crazy about the colour, but it’s easy to unscrew the slats and repaint them. My only criticism is that they are quite small / narrow. 4
