No problems with fixturesAnonymous reviewerI was very hesitant about buying these as I had seen lots of reviews mentioning that the parts didn’t align properly. However, I ordered two sets of these drawers and have had absolutely no issues putting them together or with any other parts.

Manufacturing faultAnonymous reviewerThe drawers have a manufacturing fault where the holes for the top are drilled too far in, if I were able to build it I think it would look lovely, customer service were quick and efficient in trying to replace however I had the same fault with the part and they were super quick with the return
BrilliantAnonymous reviewerI was extremely wary after reading all other reviews, however spoke to member of staff who informed me that they had sent all of the original drawers back and have a new batch. Built these last night, still very wary… however I didn’t have a single problem, very easy to put together, very sturdy and overall brilliant set of drawers! Don’t be put off by other reviews, especially not if you’re getting them from the Nottingham store!
Faulty do not buyAnonymous reviewerThis has a manufacturing fault making it impossible to construct. I took it back and was given a second one with the same fault and eventually told after an hour and a half of waiting for them to tell me they are aware of the fault but happy to sell it to me anyway
The new Malm?Anonymous reviewerThis was bought as Malm was not available at my local store due to it being discontinued. The draws are great, fit perfectly in the room and match the wardrobe bought at the same time. My only complaint is that the drawers do not open quite far enough, making it tricky to access the drawer organisers used right at the back. Other than that, we are very happy, so far, with the purchase.
Poor qualityAnonymous reviewerPurchased this item on 5 August 2026 and although the drawers were robust when assembled the carcass was extremely flimsy and collapsed during assembly despite closely following instructions. The chipboard split in a number of areas and the unit could not be salvaged. I have purchased many items from IKEA which have been of good quality. This was the exception.

Unlike the single 3 drawer unit which is easily constructed, well designed and robust. This unit is an absolute nightmare to assemble.
There is a manufacturing fault on the right side chest of drawers with a 13mm difference top to bottom, meaning the drawers are out of alignment and will fall off the tracks for the bottom and middle drawer and the top drawer can’t even go into the aperture as it’s 13mm too small.
I’ve managed to make two of these units work with heavy modification, and also not worrying about exposed chipboard due to the panel having to move and the top no longer covering it.
If you need 6 drawers do yourself a favour and buy two singles and put them together.

Do not buy
DisappointingAnonymous reviewerThe quality is simply nowhere near what it used to be with Ikea drawers. Having had both Malm and Nordli drawer sets which are both sturdy and easy to put together, was disappointed with this product. It looks good but flimsy when put together and not stable. Part of the base broke when we had to apply pressure to make it fit and there is a noticeable gap at the back where the back meets the top. Perhaps a sign of the times where cheaper, less sturdy parts used but not the quality you have come to expect from Ikea. I would not purchase again.

Poor QualityAnonymous reviewerPoorly manufacturered. Tried putting it together. Parts did not match up correctly , bits broke off, a complete waste of money. Had to be thrown away. I have had IKEA furniture in the past with no problems and the standard has been very good. From what I have read others have had problems which IKEA should look into
