After a few months the edges started fraying on the edges most walked on and seemed to loose the bounce the rest of the rug has. A plus side is its easily shampooed4

Poor quality, not finished properly, started unravellingVerified ReviewerMy son purchased a Stoense rug for his room last year. I was impressed by the quality so purchased one for our lounge in October. The rug looked really good, was very dense and soft but unfortunately, by the next day the rug had started to fray on one of the short ends. Instead of the hassle of taking it back to Ikea, I put the frayed end under the sofa so that it couldn’t be walked over. Over the next 2 months, the pile kept coming away from the rug. Hoping this was a one-off, we purchased another Stoense rug in December in a larger size.
By January the same thing had started happening, this time on both ends of the rug. Long lengths of the backing kept coming away with the pile. This made it very hard to vacuum properly. The shedding of the backing and pile has now affected the appearance of the front of the rug to the extent that it has today been rolled up ready for the tip as it’s a lot of hassle returning a heavy rug to Ikea.
Such a shame, as the rug itself is lovely.1

Disappointed with replacement rugVerified ReviewerWe ordered this rug to replace an identical rug ( or so we thought) which we bought approximately 3 years ago. The original Stoense rug was bound on the edges. This new one ( which is actually off white not beige) is not of the same quality either in material used or the finish. On unrolling the rug we could see that two of the edges were already fraying with the hessian backing clearly showing and some of the tufts coming out. We complained and a new one was promptly shipped and the unacceptable one collected. Sadly the replacement was no different. Customer services have been great dealing with our problem but why does the quality of the fabric and colour of the rug differ so much from the one purchased just a few years ago? We are very disappointed.2
