Looks really stylishAnonymous reviewerI got a corner sofa in Gransel natural. It looks very modern and stylish. It isn't the most comfortable sofa though. The seats are one metre deep, so you have either to sit on the edge, or with your legs up on the sofa. Like this, it is very comfy and luxurious. I love that the covers are washable and can be replaced - this made me brave enough to buy the light colour. The Gransel cover comes with a "skirt" - I found the website very unclear on this. As far as I can make out, it's the only cover that has this option. You don't buy it as a separate item. Although I don't regret buying it, the "skirt" does fit badly - it's too tight in places so rises up from the floor unevenly. Overall I'm pleased with the sofa - I love having a corner seat (I got the chaise longue, which I attached to the three-seater). I really hope Ikea continues to carry this line. The last sofa, and covers, I bought from Ikea was discontinued soon after, and I was unable to buy replacement covers.
Brilliant coversAnonymous reviewerSuch a good material, go really well with the soderhamn, excellent all round
Doesn't fit...be warned, Soderhamn sofas are smaller than they used to beAnonymous reviewerLooks lovely but turned out that it is about 15cm too short for our Soderhamn sofa. It appears Ikea have shrunk the Soderhamn sofa at some point
Pulls Anonymous reviewerA great colour combination but the type of fabric pulls easily if caught with pet claws, or jewellery/ jeans etc. It's very textured so not the smoothest of fabric
Doesn’t fit!Anonymous reviewerI have a Soderham 3 seater. The back cover and the bottom cover do not fit at all!
No more Samsta Dark Grey covers, now what?Anonymous reviewerHave had this sofa for six years. Generally happy with it and none of the family or dogs ever complain about it. It's strong points are it's flexibility which has allowed us to fill a very large space with one sofa. However, as others have noted, there are gaps between the cushions, they do get thin and the zips break over time and the now thinning and mishapen cushions can't be replaced (why IKEA?) The back support could be better in terms of size, height and positioning (they move about and are never quite enough).
One of the main reasons I bought this sofa was because the covers were replaceable... but now they are not! So frustrating as have a 5 seater and have no choice but to replace the whole sofa as 1) I don't like any of the covers now available; and 2) for the cost of replacing all 5 I might as well buy a new sofa.
Very average and poor qualityAnonymous reviewerI have it for more than a year. First you have to assemble it. Assembling is not an issue but for sofa٫ IKEA use some engineering trick to pack seat cushion and compress it and then it will be decompressed (including other cushions). The end result is something soft and as soon as you sit on it, it deforms ,from day one, it become creasy and you need to stretch it every time otherwise it looks like a 20 years old sofa.
I have two recommendations;
you should be aware٫
1- buying furniture from IKEA( in recent years)which needs to be assembled is not accepted to be returned as soon as it is assembler,if you are not happy with it.
2- I believe any sofa which needs assembling is not something I ever do. I did pay over 600 pounds, but whatI have is a very poor quality sofa, only good for taking photo when it is new.
Bit big comparing to pillowsAnonymous reviewerBit big comparing to pillows but perfect colour and quality
The most uncomfortable sofa everAnonymous reviewerThe most uncomfortable sofa ever. The seat pads are wafer thin and the base is so deep, you can't sit up straight. You end up slouching and getting back ache.
Uncomfortable and impractical design, would not recommend.Anonymous reviewerThere doesn’t seem any way of reviewing the actual sofa so am reviewing it here. Very disappointed with this sofa. The cushions do not fit together and so there are huge gaps between them and therefore they don’t stay in place. The bottom cushions are very thin and after just a couple of weeks use already look worn. My previous IKEA sofa lasted over 10 years and looked as good as new, but I don’t think this one will get anywhere close to that. Worst of all though is it is just not comfortable, the combination of the thin bottom cushions and the back cushions that don’t stay in place make for very poor support. Both my 8 year old son and I end up with backache after sitting on it for any length of time. I bought the 4 seater corner sofa and will be sending back one of the modules that I didn’t unpack but unfortunately will have to put up with the rest of it till I can afford to change it. Very disappointed.

good choiceAnonymous reviewerVery comfortable.
New cover, new sofaAnonymous reviewerI didn’t realise you could change the cover on these and wanted a new sofa, but at under £300 took a punt on new covers instead and was the best decision. You couldn’t get a new sofa for that price, so very pleased.
I loved the sofa, but the colour didn’t work in new home
Lovely beige colour and texture is nice
So easy to change over in under an hour
