This wardrobe fits a lot in a small space – from a baby's onesies to a teenager's jeans. On the clothes rails there’s room for hangers, and on the hooks your child can hang their clothes on their own.

Your child can use this wardrobe for many years since it is deep enough to hold adult-sized hangers and has an interior which you can move as your child grows.

Stands steady also on uneven floors since adjustable feet are included.

To save on our natural resources and make use of as much of the tree as possible, we’ve used sawmill leftovers and scrap wood in the particle boards for SMÅSTAD.

Beware before you buyAnonymous reviewerI don’t know who thought having a rail that goes forwards instead of across was a good idea but none of the photos show it so it was a surprise when putting it together. It looks like the white strips in the photo are shelves but they’re actually the random bar that go across. We didn’t add the shelve as it obstructs any hope of viewing the clothes. Also if the back doesn’t slot in with ease then don’t bother because you won’t be able to get the internal bars to meet the side to screw them in. I had to slice out the back board to stop the wardrobe bowing in the centre just to fit the second rail across. Would never have brought it had I known. Barely any space with that ridiculous layout.2

    What is constructed board?

    We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
