Good but ultimately disposable.Anonymous reviewerI had this for a good couple years and it served me well, but now the clamp has broken. Shame that most things are manufactured to be disposable, but yeah, it is what you pay for at this price point.
Clamp brokenAnonymous reviewerWe bought two of them quite a while ago but the clamps of both of them broke within the first couple of months. You can still sort of camp them onto things but the broken plastic ends really dig into whatever you clamp it on to and damage the wood. I just had a look and it seems we are not the only ones who have this problem. We don't have the receipt anymore so unlikely that we can return it. But this is definitely a design fault and is just not good enough.
Flexi neck won't support the shadeAnonymous reviewerThe clamp is strong enough but when clamped to a vertical edge (a bed headboard) the weight of the lamp shade is too much for the flexi neck and the light just droops at an unusable angle. The product spec should state the limitations of how it can be clamped (ie. only to a horizontal shelf) Disappointing as otherwise it's pretty well made.
Perfect Clamp Lamp – Compact, Bright, and Super Handy!Anonymous reviewerI bought this clamp lamp hoping for a simple lighting solution, and it delivered exactly that. The clamp is strong and holds securely on my desk without slipping or leaving marks. The flexible neck makes it easy to point the light exactly where I need it, whether I’m reading, working on crafts, or just adding a bit of extra light to a dark corner.
The light is bright enough to be functional without being harsh, and the compact size means it doesn’t take up any desk space — ideal if you’re working in a small area.
If you’re short on space or want a lamp that can be easily moved and positioned, I’d absolutely recommend this one. Great value for the price, and way more useful than I expected!

3 lamps - all 3 clamps have brokenAnonymous reviewerI bought 3 of these to place at the top of tall bookcases - 2 on Kallax cases and 1 on an Ivar unit. I checked that the Kallax was within the specification range for the clamp - and it was. Unfortunately the clamps on all 3 lamps have failed. I first noticed the problem when one of the lamps fell to the floor. I was lucky this didn't land on a child or my pet. The clamps on both lamps on the Kallax unit failed after a few months with the one on the Ivar unit failing sometime later. The plastic of the clamps isn't strong enough to cope with the force of the clamp and the weight (these are quite heavy lamps) put on it. Because these can be placed high-up they present a real safety risk. If the clamp was reliable these would be great - unfortunately the clamp needs re-designing and Ikea should think about a product recall.

Great little lamp!Anonymous reviewerReally good little lamp with a strong clamp that holds it firmly. With the 600 lumen bulb it's bright enough to illuminate a bookcase.
Caveat: while the clamp will open wide enough to clip to the outside of Kallax shelves, the plastic clamp isn't sturdy enough to withstand that big a stretch. One side of mine snapped. Lesson learned.
